Alcohol-Free Creators: Tyler, The Creator đ

Okay, Okay, Okay, Okay. You may know Tyler The Creator from his musical hits we love, including âSee You Againâ and âBoredomâ. However, what some people donât know is that he doesnât drink or do drugs. After a short period of experiencing drugs and alcohol in his early teen years, the rapper reportedly decided they weren't for him.Â
He has notoriously banned others from using these substances when in the studio with him producing music, a sacred time he views as work rather than a time to goof-around.Â
In this article from People Magazine, he explains âI just donât want to drink,â he said. âI know that I donât want to be that drunk guy. But I do know I want to hit a jump on a dirt-bike. I can look at that and say: âI want to do that.â Iâve never seen anyone drunk, like, âDamn, I want to be that.â So, I guess I just naturally got it pushed into my head that I have no reason to go over there and get f**king drunk.â
We all have different reasons for drinking, and different reasons not to drink. But whether we are completely sober or just choosing to drink less in our lives, there is much to gain from alcohol-free nights, as Tyler and his music are a testament to.
