FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What does Sun Chaser’s buzz feel like?
Sun Chaser provides a delightful head tingle that progresses through the body. It will feel like a refreshing, light, relaxing buzz. This buzz is light. Seriously! Enough to take the edge off but not enough to intoxicate you.
How strong will the buzz feel?
Sun Chaser's buzz is designed to be light: just enough to take the edge off, enabling you to feel relaxed yet lifted, super social, and most importantly, more present.
Sun Chaser's buzz will peak at the feeling of a single serving of alcohol. The buzz will not build on itself after 2 servings, making it a fully manageable experience. In other words, Sun Chaser will not get you drunk if you chug 5 of them in one sitting. And in case you're wondering, we don’t recommend that!
Does Sun Chaser's buzz feel the same for everyone?
Short answer - that depends! While there are common feelings that arise, no two buzzes are alike. You may need a few Sun Chasers before you feel the same buzz that only requires one for another person.
We've chosen ingredients that work well for the majority of people, but you are as much an ingredient as our juices & ingredients!
It's natural to see a sliding scale effect, ranging from a pleasant social lubricant to a full-fledged buzz.
How does Sun Chaser's buzz work?
Sun Chaser’s “buzz” comes from four nootropic supplements, GABA, 5-HTP, and L-Theanine. When combined our supplements impact the same centers in your brain responsible for stress relief and joy. After 1-2 Sun Chasers, our blend of supplements produce a light and uplifting buzz. No alcohol necessary, as Sun Chaser will not intoxicate you.
What are nootropics?
“Nootropics” is the collective name given to natural and man-made compounds that may improve or affect cognitive function.
A common example is caffeine. When you drink coffee, you often feel more focused and more productive. Nootropics are often taken by healthy individuals to improve or affect executive functions like memory, creativity, motivation, or mood.
In Sun Chaser’s case, we’ve chosen ingredients that we find best mimic the feeling of a relaxed, take-the-edge-off buzz.
What nootropics are in Sun Chaser?
We have four ingredients in Sun Chaser: L-Theanine, GABA, and 5-HTP. Each ingredient has been shown to impact the centers in your brain responsible for stress relief, mood, and joy.
- L-Theanine is a common extract found in green tea known to relax the mind without introducing drowsiness.
- GABA is an amino acid produced naturally in the brain known for its relaxation effects.
- 5-HTP is an amino acid that your body naturally produces known to improve your mood.
Does Sun Chaser contain alcohol or THC?
Sun Chaser does not contain any alcohol or THC.
Does Sun Chaser contain caffeine?
No, Sun Chaser does not contain caffeine. So you can enjoy a can before bedtime without any negative impact on your sleep.
How many Sun Chasers does it take to feel buzzed?
Most individuals should feel the intended feeling after one serving of Sun Chaser. However, this depends on your unique physiology, how much you've eaten and drunk before consuming Sun Chaser. Just like traditional alcohol, if you consume a heavy meal before drinking Sun Chaser you’re likely not going to feel it as much. So we find the buzz most uplifting before a meal.
Start with a single can and see how you feel before drinking a second. Since the returns can be marginal at higher servings, we do not recommend drinking more than 2 Sun Chasers in a single day.
Lastly, Sun Chaser will not intoxicate you. So you can enjoy the effects that come from a can or two without the risk of a hangover, liver, heart and brain damage, bloating, the munchies...the list goes on!
How long does it take until I feel buzzed?
Most individuals feel the intended effects within 15-30 minutes. The buzz often comes quickly, is felt for about an hour, and then gently winds down.
What does Sun Chaser taste like?
Sun Chaser has a bold, citrusy flavor that goes down smoother than a mocktail. We almost can’t put our finger on it, and that’s intended. We crafted Sun Chaser to be delicious and refreshing, something you return to sip after sip. It has a hint of mint, notes of citrus, and a tart sweetness.
How many Sun Chasers can you drink in one day?
We recommend you start with one can and see how you feel. We do not recommend drinking more than two Sun Chasers in a single day.
When is the best time to consume Sun Chaser?
You can drink Sun Chaser at any time of day! For maximum feeling, we recommend consuming Sun Chaser between a meal. Although the buzz is designed to give you an uplifted feeling, Sun Chaser is caffeine-free, so you won’t experience the jitters.
Can I mix Sun Chaser with alcohol?
We do not recommend mixing Sun Chaser with alcohol or any psychoactive substances. If you’re unsure, we recommend consulting a doctor before drinking your Sun Chasers.
This is because there's not yet substantial research available on how alcohol mixes with our unique supplement blend. Supplements, similar to medications, affect the brain and body.
Until we can say with confidence what scenarios mixing Sun Chaser & alcohol would be safe for an individual, we advise against it. As we continue to grow, we plan to invest in our own research to better advise you and the broader functional alcohol replacement category.
